The SINUG (Iberoamerican Society of Neurourology and Urogynecology) ALAP (Associaçao Latinoamericana do Assoalho Pelvico) and CAU (Confederación Americana de Urología) joint meeting **will be in Spanish and Portuguese language with no translation provided**. Physicians of different specialties dealing with female and functional urology and urogynecology based in Latin American countries will talk.
The subjects treated represent some of the most challenging pathologies treated in our area of interest, focus by physicians from different countries and different specialties. The subjects reviewed include an update of the long term results of SNM and Botulinum Toxin in refractory OAB, since this is a challenging problem for patients and physicians, especially when economic aspects must be taken into account. A Face to Face about Single incision sling versus classic MUS is intended to clarify the pros and cons of this similar but not equal techniques, that implies different hospital stay, anesthetics and economic considerations. Different updates in Evidence Based treatment in Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome or How to perform informed consent in mesh POP surgery as well as the Management of complications of POP surgery are intended to give the most recent information about hot topics in urogynecology. The Round Table about the best strategy in the POP treatment is directed to clarify the pros and cons of the use of meshes against the classical repair, which is specially interesting at the moment of the challenges facing the usefulness of mesh in POP repair.
The session is addressed to everyone who wants to attend regardless of his affiliation to the SINUG, ALAP or CAU. It is prepared as a participative session with a selection of lectures and time to discuss, questions and answers at the end of each one. According to these principles, relaxed open discussion as usually in previous SINUG sessions, the participation of all interested attendees is encouraged. Since the session discuss urology, gynecological and physiotherapy issues, all delegates are welcome.
This session is free to all registered delegates and is available on a first come first served basis. Don't lose the possibility to share your point of view with other physicians working in similar environments!! The views expressed in these Society Sessions are those of the speakers and not necessarily those of the International Continence Society.
