The surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) continues to evolve. There is ongoing debate as to what is the most optimal surgical option for cure of SUI. The recent controversy surrounding the synthetic slings has further complicated the issue.
The aim of the workshop is to provide the attendees with a clear understanding of the thought process required to determine the most appropriate surgical option for treatment of SUI. All options for the treatment of SUI along with the evidence for choosing a particular one would be discussed. This would then be reinforced with a case based discussion to provide the participants with a practical plan to help the patients in the decision making process for managing this condition.
