Lower Urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in paediatrics and adolescents are mainly reported to functional disorders related to a delay of maturation control. Recently major attention has focused on the role of comorbidities in adolescents and young adults , where Increasing consumption of alcoholic, binge drinking and drunkeness is reported ,as well as substance abuse (ketamine, methamphetamine). One indirect related consequence is Fetal alcohol spectrum disorders in individuals affected by prenatal alcohol exposure by mothers. Knowledges on alcohol and substance effects on LUTS on paediatrics and adolescents are very scant, aim of our workshop is to offer to health care providers instruments for better understanding their effects on LUTS.
