Naside is a Urologist with a special interest in Female and Reconstructive Urology. She completed her residency training in Marmara University School of Medicine, Department of Urology in Istanbul in 2011. After working as a consultant urologist for nearly 2 years, she moved to Sheffield in 2013 with a 2 year- funding from the European Association of Urology to work on a research project on pelvic floor tissue engineering with Prof Chapple and Prof MacNeil. She is currently working as a clinical research fellow in the University of Sheffield and she is at her final year of her PhD study. Her current research interest is on developing tissue engineered materials to be used in the surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse and more specifically she is working on improving the vascularization of the tissue engineered materials.
