Doctor Giovanni Corona is Medical Doctor working at the Endocrinology Unit of Maggiore-
Bologna Hospital, Bologna, Italy, and at Andrology Unit, Department of Clinical
Physiopathology, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, accredited training centre of the
European Academy of Andrology. At the University of Bologna he received the MD and at the
University of Florence the Board in Endocrinology and the Doctor of Philosophy degree. He is
acting as academic reviewer for several journals. In 2009, he received the European Society for
Sexual Medicine “Excellent Award”. In 2013, he received the International Society of Andrology
“Young Andrologist Award”. In 2015 he was quoted in the top best European 30 researchers
(category “Reproductive Biomedicine” n=11). Since July 2010, he is Associate Editor of the
Journal of Sexual Medicine. Since January 2014 is in the board of the Journal of
Endocrinological Investigation. Since January 2015 is in the board of the Andrology. Since 2018
is in the board of Hormones. Doctor Giovanni Corona is the co-author of more than 230 peerreviewed
manuscripts, has written different book chapters and invited reviews in the field of
endocrinology and sexual medicine. In the same fields, he has lectured at both national and
international meetings. Doctor Giovanni Corona is a member of the European Society of
Endocrinology, the Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine, the Italian Society for
Endocrinology and the European Society for Sexual. Giovanni Corona is the chair of the
Scientific Committee of the European Society for Sexual Medicine and president elect of the
Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine.
