Dr. Rogers’ research interests include the development of validated measures of sexual health in women as well as determining the impact of childbirth of pelvic floor function. She created and validated the only condition specific measure of sexual function for women with pelvic floor dysfunction. She is active in the mentorship of junior clinician scientists, both within and outside of her institution.

In addition to her research efforts, Dr. Rogers has served as the President of AUGS, and is currently an Associate Editor for the International Urogynecology Journal, as well as serves as a member of the Editorial Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She served on the Executive Board of ACOG as the first FPMRS subspecialty representative to that organization.

In addition to research and administrative duties, Dr. Rogers maintains a busy clinical practice and is active in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. She has been consistently recognized for these efforts with teaching awards throughout her career. She, with the members of the AUGS Education Committee, authored a textbook on Teaching Surgical Skills, and she was active in establishing multi-center educational research efforts in both AUGS and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons.
