I studied medicine in Austria and the US and trained in Radiology and OB/GYN at Medical University of Vienna. I became board-certified as OB/GYN in 2003. I spent one year with the Pelvic Floor Research Group at the University of Michigan (Prof. John OL DeLancey) 2002-2003, was head of urogynecology at my Alma Mater until 2019, board member of the Austrian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2010-2015 and 2022 to 2025), president of the Austrian Society of Urogynecology 2013-2015, and Europe´s representative with IUGA 2015-2017. I was Austria´s representative to the European Board and College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (EBCOG) and I have been coordinating the interdisciplinary Pelvic Floor Center at Medical University Vienna since 2023.
My research focuses is on overactive bladder (polymedication, microbiome) and clinical outcomes of pelvic floor surgery.
