Anna Padoa, MD, is chair of the Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Service at the Shamir- Assaf Harofe Medical Centre, affiliated to the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel. Dr Padoa’s expertise includes genito-pelvic pain disorders, pelvic organ prolapse and female urinary incontinence, and treatment of sexual abuse survivors. Dr Padoa is chair of the "Pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence sexual questionnaire- internationally revised (PISQ-IR) translation and validation group" at IUGA, co-chair of the Education Committee at the European Urogynecological Association (EUGA), chair of the Female Sexual Dysfunction scientific sub-committe of the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) and board member at the European Society for the Study of Interstitial Cystitis (ESSIC)”. Dr Padoa has authored a chapter on health in sexual abuse survivors in “Critical and Clinical Perspectives on Incest”, Editors Seligman and Solomon, published in Israel in 2004 by Hakibbutz Hameuchad Publishing House, and co-editor of the book “The Overactive Pelvic Floor”, published by Springer in December 2016. Dr Padoa has chaired five "Overactive Pelvic Floor" workshops at previous ICS and IUGA meetings and has authored a CME learning module at the “IUGA Academy” on the topic. Dr Padoa is co-founder and Secretary of the “Israeli Healthcare Association for Sexual Trauma Treatment and Prevention (ISTT)”.
