The Board of Trustees were delighted to have presented this award to Karl-Erik Andersson during the Annual Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, October, 2014.
This award was created to honour an individual who has made a lifetime commitment and a lasting contribution to the advancement of science, education, clinical practice or public awareness in the field of continence.
The Board was in no doubt that Karl-Erik Andersson was a worthy recipient; his work in the field of pharmacological management of the lower urinary tract over the last 40+ years has made him the world’s leading authority in the field in terms of basic science and clinical aspects of pharmacotherapy. Karl-Erik has led on a number of consultations on the subject and has published many of the key note articles in the field.
