ICS Member Exclusive! Join ICS experts Nikolaus Veit-Rubin, Ruwan Fernando and Grace Neustaedter for an ICS Live event on Pessaries on Friday 18th September at 16:00 BST (GMT +1).
Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence are common conditions among women and represent major public health challenge. Pessaries are a good option for patients of all ages who do not desire an operation or are poor surgical candidates. Albeit recommended by several scientific societies, the numerous modalities and possibilities of their use remain unknown. This ICS-live event aims to overcome some widespread skepticism by summarizing the various options for pessary treatment based on current evidence. It targets all health care professionals by focusing on the potential of pessary treatment both from a nursing and a medical aspect.
