ICS is proud to be supporting the Urogynecology Research Agenda established by the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) to acknowledge the need for increased research funding in women’s health, beyond maternity and reproductive care.

AUGS recognises the importance of understanding and evaluating the conditions that women face throughout their lives, including conditions that become more prevalent in the post-reproductive years and believes women’s health care should encompass the full life span of women.

As part of their approach to address this lack of women’s health research and funding, particularly towards post-reproductive women, AUGS is championing for increased research funding in a number of key areas in which they have determined critical knowledge gaps.

Interested in research?
AUGS have identified the following as research priorities, which you may be able to support when developing research proposals:

  1. Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms/Urinary Incontinence
  2. Pelvic Organ Prolapse
  3. Fecal Incontinence
  4. Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections
  5. Sexual Health in Women with Pelvic Floor Disorders
  6. Bladder Pain Syndrome/Interstitial Cystitis and Myofascial Pelvic Pain.
