We are pleased to announce a new addition to ‘Urodynamics Under the Lens’, our video & podcast series that explores the role, benefits and optimal usage of urodynamics from the personal perspectives of a range of experts in the field.
Our new modular video features a specialist dialogue between Tufan Tarcan [Marmara and Koç Universities, Istanbul, Turkey] and Melissa Kaufman [Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, USA] on the use of urodynamics in female stress urinary incontinence (SUI), covering:
- Female SUI: clinical landscape and role of urodynamics
- Urodynamics in ‘uncomplicated’ vs ‘complicated’ patients
- Is there a gold standard therapy for female SUI?
- How should we interpret guidelines on the role of urodynamics in female SUI?
- Preparing patients for urodynamics
The two experts then go on to discuss four genuine patient cases from their own clinical experience and how they used urodynamics to guide their management approach:
- Complex mixed urinary incontinence case #1
- Complex mixed urinary incontinence case #2
- Persistent SUI after mid-urethral sling
- Recurrent incontinence with history of pelvic fracture
The natural, unscripted dialogue and rapport between the two specialists allows you to observe an engaging and authentic exchange of clinical opinion and reflections within an important area of functional urology.
