The ICS-SBU educational course was a pre-congress one day meeting. There was great interest in the course with a total of 150 participants. The course focused on three topics: male urinary incontinence, prolapse, and BPH.
The ICS sent three international speakers whose presentations complemented the presentations given by Brazilian speakers. The presentations provided the opportunity for lively and productive discussions. The SBU was very pleased with the outcome of the course and is highly supportive of future collaborations with the ICS in Brazil. In addition, the participants filled out evaluation forms with very positive and encouraging feedback.
The cooperation between two societies on an Educational Course proved to be a very successful and economical formula. Further courses of this kind are at the planning stage and we hope to add other specialities such as nursing and physiotherapeutic courses in the coming years.
