The ICS Board of Trustees is delighted to announce that Karl-Erik Andersson is the worthy winner of this year’s International Continence Society Lifetime Achievement Award.
This award was created to honour an individual who has made a lifetime commitment and a lasting contribution to the advancement of science, education, clinical practice or public awareness in the field of continence.
The Board of Trustees is in no doubt that Karl-Erik Andersson is a worthy recipient; his work in the field of pharmacological management of the lower urinary tract over the last 40+ years has made him the world’s leading authority in the field in terms of basic science and clinical aspects of pharmacotherapy. Karl-Erik has led on a number of consultations on the subject and has published many of the key note articles in the field.
The Board is very much looking forward to presenting this award to Karl-Erik Andersson at the Annual Meeting in Rio de Janeiro later this year.
