The Lifetime Achievement Award is a relatively new ICS award made to honor an individual who has made a lifetime commitment and lasting contribution to the advancement of science, education, clinical practice or public awareness in the field of continence (including function and dysfunction of the urinary tract, bowel and pelvic floor). Candidates are nominated by an ICS member and the application is voted on by the Trustees. This year Jo Laycock (physiotherapist from UK) was the second recipient of the award.
The award was presented at the Gala dinner at this year’s Annual meeting in Glasgow Scotland. Recipients receive a lifetime honorary membership and invitation to Annual meeting receptions and dinners. We are all so proud of Jo.
Inscription on the award reads:
The International Continence Society is proud to award Josephine Laycock Lifetime achievement Award for her commitment, leadership, vision and lasting contribution in the field of continence.
