ICS 2016 is in Tokyo, Japan but why should nurses consider attending?
The ICS meeting is the pre-eminent continence conference in the world. ICS attendees have the opportunity to keep abreast of the latest evidence and access to new information via speaker presentations or by studying the abstracts made available to attendees.
The ICS nursing committee offers opportunities to network with other nurses. As well there are forums to discuss and debate ideas with experts in the continence field from many disciplines and to interact with authors and presenters. You will be able to witness a wider view of the professions involved in continence care. Stepping out of our regular setting helps to see the contribution nurses make to the speciality and advance your professional development.
There are also a range of educational workshops which allow you to learn new techniques in a hands-on environment or learn about something completely different. All our workshops are encouraged to be multi-disciplinary so you will see a many nurses speaking in a variety of workshop programmes.
You can attend to enjoy the presentations and events, but we also want to encourage nurse to submit abstracts and present on the excellent research and programming that they are involved in. Some of the abstract categories that are of particular interest include conservative management and quality of life, but there are many other categories to chose from. The abstracts centre opens 1 March 2016 and closes 1 April 2016.
We hope that you will submit your abstract before 1st April 2016 and thereby contribute to worldwide continence research advancement.
Join us in Tokyo for rejuvenation and inspiration.
