Mr. Salvador Arlandis is a Senior Consultant Urologist at Urology Department of La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital, Valencia, Spain. He is the Scientific Coordinator of the Nephrology-Urology Clinical Area, and part of the team of the Functional and Reconstructive Urology Section, and chief of a kidney transplantation team.
He has a particular interest in overactive bladder, male and female incontinence, neurourology, pelvic pain, urinary tract infections and clinical research.
A graduate (special award) and doctorate of Valencia University, he completed Valencia University master’s degree in Neurourology and Urodynamics, and further specialist training in neuromodulation techniques at the University Hospital of Maastricht, and several post-graduate scientific methodology courses.
He is Associate Professor of Urology (Medicine Grade) at Valencia University, Spain. He is Associate Professor of Urology (Medicine and Physiotherapy Grades) at Cardenal Herrera CEU University in Valencia as well.
He has been investigator in more than 20 phase II and III clinical trials mainly focused in functional urology. The author of 50 books or book chapters, he is also published more than 130 papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He frequently presents at national and international meetings and has participated in more than 100 courses, seminars, workshops and roundtables. He is reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
He is member of the Spanish Urological Association, the International Continence Society, European Association of Urology, ICI-RS and ESFFU. Member of the European Association of Urology Guidelines panel on female LUTS, member of the 7th International Consultation on Incontinence (Committee 4, Patient Reported Outcome Assessment) and Board member of the European Society of Functional and Female Urology (ESFFU).
He is also the actual president of the Iberoamerican Society of Neuro-Urology and Urogynecology (SINUG) an affiliated ICS scientific society.
