Dr. Khavari is a urologist at Houston Methodist. She practices a full range of general urology treating both male and female patients for prostate, kidney and bladder disorders, and particularly surgical and nonsurgical management of male and female incontinence (leakage of urine), pelvic floor disorders such as overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder (as in diabetes, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, etc), incontinence after prostate surgery or radiation.Dr. Khavari specializes in minimally invasive surgery including robotic (da Vinci) surgery. She is also the director of the Transitional Urology and Neurourology Clinic.
Dr. Khavari received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston with highest honors, followed by a General Surgery Internship with the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. She subsequently completed her Urology Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Department of Urology. Dr. Khavari further pursued her fellowship training in Male and Female Continence, Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, and Neuro-urology at Houston Methodist under mentorship of Drs. Timothy Boone and Sophie Fletcher.
