I have studied Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna. I did my residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Geneva University Hospitals in Switzerland with a subsequent specialisation in urogynaecology including a fellowship at the department of Urogynaecology at Imperial College in London, UK. I have been working as a senior urogynaecologist in Lausanne, Switzerland (Vaud University Hospital) and currently at the Medical University of Vienna.
My research focus is on innovative techniques in pelvic organ prolapse repair and the role of the microbiome in lower urinary tract symptoms. I am conducting several surgical courses for laparoscopic and vaginal reconstructive and incontinence surgery.
I have been actively involved with the ICS since 2015 as a member of the Education Committee and I am currently serving as director of the school of female pelvic health within the ICS institute.
