The CV of Charalampos Konstantinidis, MD, FEBU, FESCM

Dr Charalampos Konstantinidis graduated from the medical school of the University of Patra in Greece in 1996. He completed his training in Urology in 2004. In 2005 he obtained the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). He was a clinical fellow at the Urology Department of Nordwest Hospital for 2 months in 2005. The same year he completed his special training on Ultrasounds in Urology and gained the license to practice ultrasound evaluations of the urogenital system, after examination tests. He worked as a consultant in Urology at the Urology department of “Asclepion” hospital of Athens for one year. In 2006 completed his 2nd clinical fellowship for 6 weeks in Belgrade, in “Sava Perovic Foundation”, practising in genitourinary reconstructive surgery. Since August of 2006, he has been working as a consultant in Urology in the National Rehabilitation Center of Athens. In 2009 he gained a scholarship from the European Urological Scholarship Programme and through this he completed his 3rd clinical fellowship for 3 months in Neuro-urology Unit of University Hospital of Innsbruck in Austria. In 2007 and 2009 he gained a scholarship for the ESU – WEILL CORNELL MASTER CLASS, which is organized by the European School of Urology (ESU) and the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. In 2012 he obtained the title of Fellow of the European Committee on Sexual Medicine (FECSM).
Dr Konstantinidis is an active member of national and international scientific societies and associations (EAU, ICS, ISSM, ESSM, MIPS, ISCoS) and founding member of INUS. He is an affiliate member of ESAU section of EAU and associate member of ESGURS and ESFFU sections of EAU. He was a member of the Education Committee of Hellenic Urological Association (HUA). He was a member and secretary of the coordinating committee of the Andrology and Infertility section of the HUA, and member and vice-president of the coordinating committee of the Urodynamics, Neurourology, and Female Urology (UNUFU) section of the HUA. Since October 2014 he serves the Neurourology Promotion Committee of International Continence Society (ICS) as a committee member. Since 2015, he is an elected member of the Scientific Committee of the National Rehabilitation Center in Athens that he is working till now. He was the Assistant Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Urological Association (HUA) during 2017-2018 and he was elected as the General Secretary of the Executive Committee of the HUA for 2019-2020.
Dr Konstantinidis has delivered more than 200 lectures in the field of functional urology (Andrology, Sexual Medicine, Urodynamics, Incontinence, and Neuro-urology). He has the authorship of 16 international publications and more than 30 ones in the Greek languish. He participated as an author in more than 270 oral, video or poster presentations in domestic and international congresses. He authored book chapters in 5 books regarding functional urology, neuro-urology and sexual function of paraplegics.
